TravelRightsChecker is a free, independent site with two jobs: telling you what you're owed when a flight goes wrong, and helping you avoid the passport mistakes that cause a trip to go wrong in the first place.

Where the figures come from

Compensation bands are based on UK261 and EU261 passenger rights regulations as published by the UK Civil Aviation Authority and the European Commission. Passport validity guidance is compiled from official government travel advice for each destination. Where rules vary or change, this site says so rather than giving a false single answer.

Independence

This site is not affiliated with any airline, the CAA, the European Commission, or any government. It carries advertising, but no airline pays to appear or be ranked more favourably, and this site never takes a percentage of your compensation claim.
